Set the x-ray head in a horizontal / parallel position (12″ from wall, 50″ high)
and measure (using the same numbers previously mentioned)
from the focal spot or end of the PID to the cassette location.
Check for adequate space for patient accessibility and seating.

If the distance is too close, then an option would be to attach the Patient Head Positioner / Cassette Holder to the adjacent wall.
